Workshop Manager – IVECO Authorised Repairer (HGV)
J R Harding & Sons are an IVECO authorised repairer specialising in HGV maintenance and repair, and we are looking to appoint an experienced Workshop Manager to lead our busy commercial vehicle workshop.
The Role
As Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the workshop, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to IVECO and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily workshop operations
- Plan and allocate work to technicians and apprentices
- Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and IVECO where required
- Monitor productivity, job completion, and workflow
- Manage workshop budgets, control costs, and ensure financial targets are met
- Oversee job costing, parts usage, and warranty claims
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer, legal, and health & safety requirements
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience managing or supervising an HGV/commercial vehicle workshop
- Strong technical knowledge of HGV maintenance and repair
- Familiarity with manufacturer standards (IVECO experience desirable but not essential)
- Good organisational and leadership skills
- Confident communicator with a hands‑on approach
